The Chop Tops

We wanted to express our deepest condolences to the family and close friends of Johnny Legend. He was an amazing artist whose stage presence was wild as they come (Lux Interior comes to mind). We are grateful to have played with this truly legendary Rollin’ Rock brother. We’re gonna miss you Johnny!

What a knock-down, drag-out rager our final hometown reunion weekend was. We saw friends, family, hell…even Santa was there partying! To all our sister and brother bands (The Swillbillys, Los Dryheavers, The Inciters, Astro Zombies & The Surf Creeps) that teamed up for this send-off we love you, and you did us and the crowd proud with your shredding sets. Moe’s Alley, thank you for being such an epic home for music in Santa Cruz throughout the years!

Talk about ending on a high note! Our good friends the Curls took the long trip down from Salem, OR, to our hometown to join us for our last two reunion shows at Moe's Alley, Santa Cruz. Their son Darren was on a mission to ask the love of his life, Jill, for her hand in marriage. He did so in classic style on one knee after our set...she said YES! Please join us in congratulating the newly engaged couple 💍❤️❤️

Revved up and ready: The Chop Tops reunite for two final shows Iconic local rockabilly trio The Chop Tops come to Moe's Alley for sold-out shows Friday and Saturday. It's the last stop on a small tour touting their reunion of sorts, but mostly their new album, "Fabrikate."

We are truly in awe of how amazing our final hometown reunion weekender was! To all the folks who traveled in from out of town, state, and country, we are stoked you were able to join us. To all the amazing brother and sister bands that shared that stage with us both nights, thank you so much for giving the audience a killer show. Sorry we took 10 years to bring you another album and a handful of shows, but this weekend made the wait that much sweeter. Look out for some epic pics and videos coming soon!!
