You can be endlessly grateful for your survival and still carry the deep heaviness of everything you had to endure.
Gratitude doesn’t erase the weight.
Strength doesn’t cancel out the scars.
Healing asks that you hold both —
the light and the heavy,
the joy and the ache —
with tenderness.
You are not wrong for feeling both.
You are human.
And you are worthy of rest.
