Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is now hosting FREE LIVE MUSIC every Thursday evening until August 6th, 2026.

Starting TONIGHT June 18th, the band Fire Peach starts off the show 8:30pm-9:30pm PDT.

Come grab a bite, enjoy some drinks, and dance along the rotating lineup of bands and talented artists with the ocean in the backdrop.

This Friday June 19th, 2026, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will host a free movie night at 9pm on the beach, with this week’s movie as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986) to celebrate it’s 40th Anniversary.

Watch your favorite movies under the stars with your toes in the sand, enjoy the boardwalk treats, and enjoy the movie as the admissions are FREE!

If you ever visit the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, take advantage of the Santa Cruz Wharf located right next to the amusement park and beach. It’s filled with good restaurants and shops, it’s great for fishing, and you may occasionally hear some sea lions chilling below the wharf.

It’s that time of the summer again where Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is providing free movie nights right along the beach every Friday over the whole summer.

Starting off, the first movie being shown this Friday is the iconic The Lost Boys (1986) movie that was famously filmed right at the same place being viewed at. Show starts June 12 at 9:00pm – 10:45pm.

If you need a night to stay when you’re watching the movie, feel free to book a hotel at the Seaway Inn located just a 2 minute walk away from the boardwalk.

The Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz is hosting the 2026 Save the Waves film festival starting June 12th. The festival is the world’s only international surf and environmental film festival, and this year’s lineup of short films features surf breaks from California, Ghana, Portugal, Mexico, etc. It’s also a showcase for surf ecosystem conservation.

Doors start June 12th at 6pm.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is hosting the 22nd annual Pro-AM Beach Soccer, the largest beach soccer tournament in Northern California. Tournament dates are Saturday June 6th & Sunday June 7th.

Since summer is here, Roaring Camp Railroads is now Running their Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk trains every day throughout the whole summer starting Saturday May 30th. The train runs a round trip each way between the Main Roaring Camp Railroads attraction in Felton all the way to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
