We are here to create a community of like-minded people interested in Bioengineering, helping students to pursue this major.
We are here to create a community where undergraduate bioengineering students can network with one another as well as with researchers. To do this, we organize events aimed at giving students the opportunities to connect with others and find their passion within bioengineering; we expose students to industry and academia via tours of research facilities on and off campus. In this way we help students gain the knowledge and experience they need to excel in the bioengineering field.

Hello everyone, this Friday we are hosting our first journal club and lab tour. We will be communicating primarily through emails, but still creating events on Facebook and on the calendar on our website. If you are not on the email list and want to be, send us a Facebook message and we will add you! For now though, here is the latest email where you can sign up for the lab tour:

Have you heard of MESA day? It's a competitive STEM event for middle and high schoolers that is held at Jack Baskin Engineering on campus. They are looking for help in organizing and running some of the competitions, they specifically mentioned a Prosthetic Arm competition that they wanted our help with! Sounds pretty cool eh?
They'll be speaking at our next meeting on Feb. 2 to tell us more about the event. Remember, meetings are Thursdays at 12:00! Keep up to date by our website! :) bmeslugs.soe.ucsc.edu
