We’ve just finished a glorious week of Reunion community with our family of faith, the Sierra Pacific Mission Center…elders and youth, old friends and new, with art projects and activities, coffee and campfire, puppet shows and worship assembly, and so much love! The theme, “Be a Blessing” was expressed beautifully as everyone came together to share grace and generosity, and the gifts of community and welcome. What an honor to be host to the gathering! 🌲❤️🌲

It was such a pleasure to welcome a new group to our summer camp family!
It Takes Guts supports families navigating pediatric chronic illness… Warrior Family Camp happened this week for the first time at Happy Valley to bring families together to build community and support systems. It gives families a meaningful break from the demands of everyday life and allows caregivers and children to focus on connection, joy, and shared experiences in a summer camp setting.
We are so honored to be their new home for camp! ❤️🌲❤️

We are so honored to hold space for our guests this weekend. Camp Erin is a bereavement camp for youth grieving the death of a significant person in their lives and tonight is a special evening of remembrance of their special person, connecting with peers, expressing big feelings, and finding support in safe space. ❤️

What a great way to go into our first Summer camp today!
We’ve been looking and not so patiently waiting and finally found the babies! This year’s twins have made their appearance with their mom and then bounced-bounced-bounced into the hills…so cute!

This past weekend, we hosted our Quarterly Board of Directors meeting! Our new Summer interns learned about nonprofit board governance, our 75th Anniversary committee did great planning for the celebration in October (info to come!), and the important work of stewardship was undertaken with engaged hearts and spirits.
Our deep appreciation for this terrific group of folks who work so hard to ensure Happy Valley’s legacy is honored and we are building a sustainable future together!

On this Stream-ing Sunday we’re taking a breath after a really busy weekend! Even though there are no guests here, we’ve all been working incredibly hard to get the grounds ready for the Summer, and grateful for the chance to work together as a staff to care for this special sanctuary. Now, a pause for a minute of peace with the creek and a couple of well-earned days off before zooooom! into summer camps!
