Barbarossa Fishing Charters

The salmon fishing has really picked up the last few days! The fish are getting bigger with a 14.8lb gutted fish being brought in. June is usually our peak season so now is the time to get out! I have a few prime weekend dates still available June 14th and July 4th. I also have June 8, 9 and 10 available if anyone wants to do an open party trip. I’ll run with 3 people at $300 each.

Fished inshore today and the action was wide open! Big schools of rockfish were all over, a welcome change compared to the past few weeks. Hopefully they stick around for a while!

Me and a buddy braved the supposed wind and swell today to be greeted by great weather instead! I landed this nice fish and decided to head in early before the wind picked up

The salmon fishing is finally picking up! Today we went 6 for 7, losing one near the boat but we stole one back from a sea lion to make up for it. It’s going to blow the next couple days but I have the 18th and 19th available for a private charter and open party spots on the 21, 24 and 25th. After a super slow morning, we made a move and finally got our first fish in the boat around 11am and the second shortly after. We proceeded to miss a bunch of bites and lose even more fish before calling it to head in by 1pm. I have the 4-7th available if anyone wants to give it a try.

Today’s group of 5 wanted some action so we went out to the deep reef off Davenport. It was a little bumpy but the fishing was wide open, resulting in easy limits of rockfish and sublimits of vermillion rockfish, and 2 nice lingcod and released 2 shorts.

Today’s group got some quick action on the salmon grounds in the morning, landing 3 of 6 bites. The salmon fishing is getting better and the fish are getting bigger! We finished the day bringing in some deep water rockfish and 6 soles. We have some availability on a couple open party trips in May. 5/8 and 5/16 have 3 spots available for $300 each. Took the day off today and went fishing still. We struggled to start the day losing a few fish and missing a bunch of bites. We stuck with it and I landed my first salmon of the year, a healthy 31” fish and my brother landed a skinny 30” fish. Back to work tomorrow.
