Thanks to Data Center Frontier for this great article about our newest high-density facility in Santa Clara.
Colovore Building New Data Center for Extreme Density AI Workloads High-density hosting specialist Colovore is expanding in Santa Clara with a 9-megawatt data center supporting AI workloads with rack densities from 50 kW up to 250 kW.

Demand for data center space in Silicon Valley has long outpaced supply. With less than 2% vacancy (according to a recent CBRE study) our high-density data center optimizes this very limited resource while lowering total cost of ownership.

The new storage server from Qumulo and Hewlett Packard Enterprise should draw 400-450 watts peak per RU, so a full cab = 18-20 kW. High-density storage solutions are becoming more commonplace, especially at facilities purpose-built to deliver the power and cooling they require.

If you are deploying any AI, Machine Learning, or GPU servers, a 50 kW cabinet is your ideal home.
AI servers need a ton of power and cooling, and we've got it at Colovore.
You should budget 1 kW peak draw per rack unit —> a full 47U AI cab needs 50 kW!
We are now taking pre-orders for a number of 50 KW cabinets we will deliver as part of our Phase-4 2MW expansion coming in Q4. And if you need direct liquid cooling, we've got that too :)

“Liquid cooling can provide more service in less space,” says Arman Shehabi, a research scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Thanks to and for writing this insightful piece for Bloomberg LP.
We agree with Dr. Shehabi. Colovore is now in our 8th year utilizing liquid cooling for our high-density data center and we're very proud of our 1.1 PUE and market-leading efficiency.

We've worked with our friends for quite a while and they consistently deliver at the speed of innovation. It's no surprise then that their newest initiative is all about liquid-cooling, which we're all about. Another thing we agree on is that retrofitting for the future can be a burden and often cost-prohibitive. That's why we both recommend systems that are designed for liquid-cooling from the start.

Supermicro launches liquid cooling initiative Supermicro is offering three types of liquid cooling: direct to chip (D2C) cooling, immersion cooling, and rear-door heat exchanger (RDHx) cooling.
