Good evening!

Reflection: I have a friend who is a mom. She takes care of everyone including me. She makes sure that we have whatever we need but there are times when she gets sick and feel very tired.

This is what I always tell her. You have to take care of yourself as well or at least let someone take care of you.

I get it tho. As a “giver” it is sometimes hard to take. But know that you also deserve care :)

Reflection: When we encounter obstacles in life, our usual questions are:

“Why do I have to experience this?”

“Why can’t I catch a break?”

But we have to know that obstacles exist, not to ruin our straight path to success but to make us stronger and make our journey worthwhile.

Reflection: Do you also hate being compared to others? It seems very common especially with the Filipino culture, ayt?

That is why sometimes, we unconsciously do it ourselves. We compare our achievements to other people.

“Oh she had a new phone. Mine is this rusty old iphone 13.”
(Some people would love to have an iphone 11 even!)

“All my former classmates graduated today while I am stuck working.”
(But, you are a good provider to your family and you can still go to college soon!)

“They got latin honors while I didn’t.”
(But you graduated! Believe it or not, it doesn’t matter that much in the field. What matters is you work hard!)

We look at others but we fail to see our own blessings. We fail to see what we have.

So instead of comparing, let us try and look at what we have and be grateful.

It is then that we will find joy.

Reflection: Oftentimes, we think that we are worthless when in fact we are capable of a lot of things.

Remind yourself of your potential and assess your capabilities and you’ll see yourself thrive.

Again, you are not worthless… you are very much worth it!

My original goal is to publish something while I’m here. It might not be a book this time but I actually got published on our school magazine! I was able to layout and create a photo essay of:
