A father is neither an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.

Happy to my Dad, and yours.

Coffee break or sabbatical?

After ten consecutive increases, the Federal Reserved paused rate increases for the first time since March of 2022. Will this be a short little coffee break type of pause, or more of a longer-term sabbatical? My money is on the coffee break. We printed far too much money in the last few years, too much for these ten increases to have a lasting effect on inflation. There’s more up-ticks to come before any sustainable rate down-ticks can take place. Are rate increases the best way to lower inflation? No! What’s the most efficient way to curb inflation? Stop printing dollars and decrease federal spending. Likely to happen? I think not.
