It's great to see young people who have been through a lot of struggle hustling in positive ways. Mando here has seen his adversities but has continued to stay strong and has chosen to make money the legit way. He clips hair after school on the weekends and is raising money for Barber school. Support your local high school student that is working hard to develop a profession, a business, or a trade.
Found this young man scraping by on his broken walker. Blessed him with a new one. As my mom always says, "dios te de mas" "may god bless you with more." Find someone in need an bless them with care if you can.
Forgiveness is a step towards personal healing. When we forgive, we release the burden of anger and resentment, paving the way for inner peace.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be first in my family to attend college and constantly look for ways to provide these opportunities for others. College was not easy. I often felt like I did not belong, like an imposter. However, I persisted, found support and excelled. I met my wife in college, I earned a BA, MA and Ph.D., and developed critical thinking skills to seek solutions to the many social problems in our world.

Thank you to for inviting me to Keynote their annual leadership conference. I had a wonderful time sharing my research on how to create community empowerment schools (CES) with incredible district and school leaders who are on a mission to transform and uplift the lives of every student in California. Shout out to my Mentee Jose Anzaldo flew went on stage to share his powerful journey of working in the fields picking lettuce and now graduating from UC Berkeley this June. His goal is to help his family and his community find solutions to some of the most pressing problems in our society today. He received a standing ovation. Shout out to those educators changing lives like Jose's Educator Mr. Ramos believed in him so much he tricked him into believing in himself. Check out his incredible film, East Of Salinas.
It's always special to spend time with my incredible daughters. They took me to yoga and coffee. I was able to catch up with them and hear about their work, life and their new apartment. They are independent professionals that are doing big things in life. So proud of the kind and thoughtful human beings they have become.
