Turns out golf and Pilates are the practice of precision.

Both are a sequence of details. Miss one cue and the whole thing falls apart.

Choose the club.
Align it to your posture.
Position your feet.
Place your hands.
Grip without gripping.
Relax the shoulders.
Adjust “everything”. 😂
Inhale and extend.
Clear the mind.
Engage the core.
Exhale and swing through the arc.

Skip one.
Disappointing.
Skip two.
Disaster.

Same checklist.
Different course.

Pilates isn’t just for class.
You take it with you…everywhere.

Relieved the “last one” arrived right when the burn was forcing me to quit.
Pushing my POTS is the only way I know how to communicate with my body that I want more. But I respect my limitations and give myself permission to — Stop. Drop. And curl into a ball.

Listening to my body is mutual respect.
And we’re both on the same page.
Finally.
Reinvented.

This week I trained alongside Royal Ballet dancers from around the world who came to learn from . A true inspiration and an exceptionally talented educator, challenging modern Pilates with the intensity of classical ballet.
And yes — the long, lean lines are breathtaking.
But what really stood out was the strength beneath the elegance.

That’s the part people miss.

Pilates is where mobility and strength meet.
It builds power from the inside out — stabilizing first, then lengthening, then strengthening. Every movement asks your body to support itself fully, without compression, without force.

This is why Pilates bodies look the way they do.
Not bulky. Not fragile.
Strong, resilient, and incredibly mobile.

It’s strength that protects the spine.
Mobility that preserves longevity.
Control that allows the body to move beautifully for decades.

Watching these dancers train was a reminder:
True strength doesn’t shorten the body — it lengthens it.

I’ve officially figured out why golf + girlfriends is so addictive.

Every swing is a dopamine experiment.
You stripe the ball? Instant high.
You don’t? Somehow… still exciting.

Add sunshine (hello vitamin D), fresh air, actual grounding to the earth, and a few hours where your nervous system finally exhales — and suddenly wellness feels a lot more fun than forced.

Then there’s the best part:
The laughter.
The bonding.
The new friendships.
Women cheering for each other instead of competing.

Endorphins everywhere.

It’s the same reason I love Societygal.
