A dog saved a life. Now we need your help to put another one on the streets. 🐾
We’ve received an incredible $14,000 gift toward Santa Maria PD’s new Police Service Dog — and now we need your help to reach our $27,000 goal. Every dollar brings this team one step closer. 🌸
Chief Williams tells us that Santa Maria’s K9 teams resolve incidents without force more than 95% of the time — de-escalating armed confrontations, protecting the public, and keeping officers safe.
This dog will make a difference. Donate at ONE805.org (note: K9 support).

Our Lompoc Police Department family is rallying around Officer Yobanie Martinez, who was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer after ongoing health complications and extensive medical testing.
Yobanie has served as a police officer for three years, with a meaningful career of service still ahead of him. Today, his focus is on healing, with additional testing, surgeries, and chemotherapy expected in the months to come.
Yobanie is the sole provider for his wife, Edith, and their four children: Gyanna, Roselyn, Alynna, and Daniel. This diagnosis has brought tremendous emotional and financial strain, including travel for specialized care, medical expenses, and the loss of income while he is unable to work.
PORAC and the Lompoc Police Department ask our community to stand beside the Martinez family during this difficult time.
Please keep Officer Martinez and his family in your prayers and thoughts as he continues this fight with courage and hope.
Any support, gift, or message of encouragement is deeply appreciated. Donations will directly support medical and travel costs, as well as daily household needs.

At One805, we believe mental wellness is every bit as important as the equipment our First Responders rely upon. By supporting wellness initiatives, peer support programmes, and long-term resources, we are helping build a future where asking for help is seen as a sign of strength, not sacrifice.
LT. Jarret Morris, Chief of Police at Goleta P.D., shares how the peer support program is helping change the conversation. Deputies and civilian personnel receive specialized training to serve as a trusted first step for a colleague navigating the loss of a loved one, a personal challenge, or the cumulative weight of the job.
Peer support is about ensuring that those who spend their lives helping others know they do not have to carry every burden alone.
At One805, taking care of those who take care of us is not optional. It is our shared responsibility.

At One805, we believe that caring for those who protect us is not optional. It is our collective responsibility.
As our COO and Co-Founder, Richard Weston-Smith, says at One805Live!, our annual benefit concert, "We are here to show our appreciation to raise funds to provide essential counselling and let them know that their sacrifices are not overlooked."
We remain deeply committed to ensuring that First Responders and their families have access to mental wellness services.

💚 Santa Barbara County Fire Chief Chris Mailes shares how and why local First Responders utilize One805's Mental Wellness Program, and why access to confidential counseling and support is so essential for those who spend their lives caring for others.
As Chief Mailes explains, One805 has helped bring an important message to the forefront: it is okay to care of yourself.
We are proud to stand beside our First Responders and their families, ensuring they have access to the mental wellness resources they deserve. It is our mission to care for those who protect our community. Here at One805, this is not simply an act of gratitude; it is a responsibility we all share.

At One805, we hold deep gratitude for those who have served our nation in uniform, and equal admiration for those who continue that service here at home as First Responders.
The transition from military service to protecting one’s own community is a remarkable continuation of duty and is exemplified every day by Loren Courtney.
At five years old, Loren Courtney watched a helicopter land on a beach in Los Angeles and knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent 22 years becoming one of the most decorated and experienced Black Hawk pilots in the country.
His career took him everywhere: Desert Shield and Desert Storm, where he flew in the longest and largest air assault in 101st Airborne Division history; Mogadishu, Somalia, flying Delta sniper teams through the night; Haiti, delivering medical aid during government collapse; Yellowstone, fighting wildfire from the air. He flew for the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and supported President Clinton's visit to Africa. Over 11,000 flight hours. 5,600 in the Black Hawk alone.
After 22 years, Loren didn't stop. He flew EMS and search and rescue in the Rocky Mountains for a decade — landing at altitude in near-whiteout conditions, pulling skiers from avalanches, saving lives in terrain most pilots would never attempt.
Today, Loren flies for the Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit — protecting the 70% of our county that is wild, remote, and unforgiving. Fire response. Backcountry rescues. Water rescues. Medevac.
Before the Montecito mudslides, Santa Barbara County didn't have a Black Hawk helicopter. ONE805 donors changed that — funding a water drop tank and a patient medevac upgrade kit that gave the Fire Hawk full medevac capability, transforming it into a true life-saving aircraft.
At ONE805 Live, Loren Courtney was honored with the Heart of the Community Award — recognizing his extraordinary lifetime of service and our shared commitment to the mental wellness of those who protect us every day. The award was presented by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex: a veteran himself, who knows firsthand what it costs to answer the call.
This is what your support makes possible. This is ONE805.
Santa Barbara County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig reflects on the Thomas Fire, the Montecito debris flow, and the many emergencies our First Responders have faced, during One805LIVE! 2022.
Every year our community comes together with one message for our First Responders: we are here for you.
That is the spirit of One805.
A single $10 gift may seem small, but when joined with the support of neighbors across our community, it becomes counseling, peer support, and mental wellness care for those who carry the weight of our hardest days.
We are deeply grateful to Santa Barbara County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig for his steadfast leadership and for all he continues to do for our community.

We are deeply honoured to help provide First Responders with access to trusted mental wellness programs and peer support tailored to the realities of their service.
Thank you to Guadalupe's Police Chief Michael Cash for talking about how One805 funding impacts first responders!
Caring for those who protect our communities is not simply a short-term responsibility. It is a lasting commitment.
That is why we are building the One805 Mental Wellness Endowment: a permanent source of support designed to provide long-term financial stability for mental wellness resources for generations of First Responders.
With your continued generosity, this endowment will become a lasting foundation of care.
