The INDIGENOUS DNA: DECOLONIZED NATIVE ART 2025 Occupying Space by John.Khus happened at the SB County Courthouse's Mural Room on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Unsurprisingly, i was forced to leave after peacefully occupying space for most of the day.

Trying to determine the upside or downside of your market money if an entire civilization is destroyed is the epitome of colonial failure.

Amazingly enough, so many people don't realize that when the colonial machine landed and proceeded to colonize the Americas, they actually LOST.

They didn't "win" anything by force, by death, by atrocities inflicted upon ancient and enduring civilizations of Humans.

They lost the connection between them and the world.

They lost the relations of their future generations (the self) with the eternal Life.

Why else would a person calculate monetary gain from the annihilation of an entire civilization?

Why else would a person order an entire gulf and multiple species be put to extinction to fuel a machine?

Why else would someone capable of caring for children declare that spending TRILLIONS on bombing the impoverished is more important than taking care of the children or helping build a future?

These are not the actions of a winner.

These are the sick, diseased, repugnant actions of a vile, perverted, evil loser.

The colonizers lost.

You can continue to win by Being Human. Staying Human. Together.

The mural that is part of the background questions the enforced illusions of colonial compliance and failed platitudes. A child protester runs from an emissary of violent control set in place by billionaire predators who have attacked the poor for centuries in the Americas. The tent of an unhoused human (or humans) emphasizes the facts of everything people, humans, should be aware: That the illusion has cracked and the insanity of the colonizer disease has reached the undeniable stages of cruelty, evil, and destruction of the humans being human.

Stay human. Be human. Together.

8 years ago i was creating content like this Uncle Sam from a WW2 war bond poster as a cog in the Machine [Slide 2], but i still felt the need to repurpose the images for myself.... to more purposefully align them with Human reality instead of continuously creating Colonial propaganda.... to change the Colonizer propaganda into Human artistic freedom. As someone once said, "when looking at flowers, Nature has a way of healing and connecting Humans to the Universe..., but, when painting or viewing a painting of flowers, the art itself does something nothing else can - and that is to communicate what it is to be Human."

Thus, it's important to take the images of the System and reflect back the identity of Being Human: This is not subversive more than it is reclamation (because the Colonial System itself is a subversive, perversion of Being Human)

Reclamation.

Reclaiming Being Human.

Decolonize. Be Human. Together.

I'll be all around in the art - I'll be everywhere. Wherever you can look - wherever there's a painting of hungry people exposing the cruelty of the wealthy, I'll be there. Wherever there's a cop beatin' up a guy holding up a peace sign, I'll be there. I'll be in the way guys yell at fascists when they're mad. I'll be in the way kids laugh when they can walk to and from school with their parents without being racially profiled or sent away without due process.... And when the people are eatin' the stuff they raise and livin' in the houses they build - I'll be there, too.

Now it's your turn to BE THERE.

If our existence is resistance, then it is important to take a moment to reconnect, reflect, and resonate with existence (if/when you can).

Existence is all around us and therefore we are all around ourselves.

i love it all and therefore i love myself.

And although John Trudell is right that we are living in a time when spirit can be eaten, i will not let that fear me, because spirit can never truly be destroyed.

Thankful to be born connected.

Thankful to be Human.

Thankful for the Universe of which i am part: A Universe that is far more powerful and beautiful than any other thing in existence. Absolutely powerful. Undeniably beautiful.

Plus, our cat, Bodhisattva.

Meow power.

Decolonize. Be Human. Together.

It's fitting that the celebration of this colonial mental derangement's 250 anniversary will be large clown men in tights doing outlandishly choreographic circus dances with each other and shouting for attention, it's the perfect reflection of this idiocratic construct.

Meanwhile, the Human spirit of Alex Pretti was horrifically ended by the slavering, hate-mongering, trigger-happy, emboldened meat puppets of the king of turd.

This is a continuation of the perverse disease that arrived, lost, to our shores centuries ago. This is nothing new. But, we welcome all Humans to being awake.

Decolonize. Be Human. Together.
