You were born today. You were blessed with a beautiful life. You blessed me with a neverending love as my best friend. Today is the 1st birthday where I wasn't able to call you at 5AM. Today marks the day we will honor your final wish & send you sailing down your favorite waters.

Lisa, my life will never be the same. My heart aches every minute of the day. When I need you, you're physically not here, but I talk to you as if you are. Your absence in our physical life is one of the hardest things I've ever had to manage. My life doesn't work without you. However, I know you're with me & you've continued to show me signs when I've needed them the most.
