No amount of boundary setting is going to get you the freedom and time you want in your marriage.
You're very clear on the boundary you need to set. You've written it in your journal and said it out loud to your therapist over and over.
And then he sighs, or goes quiet, or tells you you've gotten difficult lately, and you cave. Again.
You didn't cave because you forgot the boundary. You caved because every part of you has been trained to read his discomfort as an emergency and your own as optional.
A woman in one of my workshops referred to it as swallowing the swarm of bees to keep him comfy. That reflex doesn't turn off because you wrote it in your journal.
The problem isn't that you don't know how to set a boundary. It's that holding one requires you to sit in his displeasure without rescuing him from it, and nothing in your conditioning will allow you to do that.
In Equal Ground for Life we start with the conditioning that makes his comfort feel more urgent than yours.
We practice the boundary and what happens after you say it: the sigh, the silence, the accusation that you've changed. So when it happens, you're not caving, you're holding. Without guilt.

You've told yourself that if things don't change in a year or two, you're leaving.
You've been telling yourself that for a lot longer than two years. And every time you get close to doing anything about it, a voice says you're not ready. Not ready to admit it's this bad, not ready to upend the life you spent twenty years building.
Here's what that voice is actually doing. It's telling you that readiness is a feeling you have to earn before you're allowed to start. So you wait for it, and it never quite arrives, and the year turns into another year.
Sometimes not ready is real, and if it is, I'm not going to talk you out of it. But when the feeling has lasted this long, it's usually not about timing at all. It's the conditioning that's kept you small, telling you the danger is in moving, when the actual danger has been standing still.
There's a deeper reason you're not leaving, and that is what we deconstruct in Equal Ground for Life, so that whether you stay or go, it's your choice. Not what you've been conditioned to accept and settle for.

You've been in couples therapy for years but nothing is improving in your marriage.
Couples therapy needs two people showing up at the same intensity. Your husband performs for fifty minutes, the therapist gives you both homework, and you're the only one who does it.
That is not a knock on therapy. It's just not built for what you're actually dealing with, which is one person taking it seriously and one person just showing up.
You don't need a better version of couples therapy. You need to focus on the one person in your marriage who's actually available for change. That's you.
You're still waiting on your husband because you've been conditioned to prioritize his comfort over your own.
Equal Ground for Life doesn't wait for your husband to finally have an epiphany in couples therapy. Instead we remove that conditioning at the root, so you can finally be happy and satisfied in your own life again.

You built the calendar. You made the chore chart. You wrote the meal plan and probably laminated it.
You are still the only person in your house who opens any of them.
Your husband says just tell me what to do, and somewhere in that sentence you got promoted to his manager. Nobody asked if you wanted the job.
If you are done running a household where an afternoon that belongs to you is a fantasy, come sit with me live in Get Your Own Life Back.

You've watched the videos telling you to decenter men. They leave you furious for about ten minutes.
Here's the problem. Almost all of those accounts are talking about men, what they do wrong, why they do it, how to be angrier about it. That's not decentering him. That's still building the whole conversation around him.
The scroll validates the fury. It doesn't touch your actual week. You close the app and nothing about your house, your time, or your ambition has moved.
Being furious online isn't a plan. It's a feeling with nowhere to go.
I built a 90-minute workshop that centers you instead. It's called Get Your Own Life Back, and it's a real plan for your time, your body, and your ambition.

You have left this marriage before. In your head, probably a hundred times.
I have talked to woman after woman who actually left, met someone completely different, and ended up managing his moods and his laundry within two years.
Same job, different man.
Your marriage was never the whole problem. The conditioning that has you managing everyone's comfort but your own follows you into every relationship, married or not.
You do not have to leave your husband to get your life back. You have to address what is actually running the show.
That is what we are doing live in Get Your Own Life Back.

You sit in the driveway with the engine off longer than you need to.
It's not the long day. It's what's waiting on the other side of the front door.
Walking in means walking back onto a stage where you're the director, the producer, and the stage manager, all at once, with no one else reading their lines.
That heaviness has a name. It's the tax a system charges you for holding everything together alone.
Your home is supposed to be where you exhale. Instead it's where the second shift starts. That doesn't change until you stop carrying the logistical weight of an entire household by yourself.
I built a workshop for the woman who's exhausted from running the show in a house where she never gets to play the lead. It's called Get Your Own Life Back.

You can define the mental load. Cite the research. Explain exactly why it lands on you.
And you're still the one who books the dental cleanings.
Understanding the system isn't the same as escaping it. All that reading hasn't bought you back a single hour.
You know precisely what's happening to you, and you're still doing it anyway, carrying every task in your head while your own ambition sits in a drawer you haven't had time to clean out.
The sociology doesn't do your laundry. It doesn't clear your calendar. Until the actual mechanics of your life change, you're just a very well-read manager of your own household.
I built a 90-minute workshop for exactly this. It's called Get Your Own Life Back, and it moves you from theory into what actually changes in your house.

If you want your fiancé to do premarital education and he says no, do not marry him.
The engagement window is the clearest look you'll ever get at what your marriage will actually be. He will never be more willing to listen or compromise than he is right now. If you're carrying wedding planning alone and frustrated by it, that's not stress. That's the pattern, and it compounds for the rest of your life.

The list isn't the problem. The list is proof of the problem.
Sending him tasks keeps you as the project manager. What actually changes this is shared awareness — not shared chores.
