Installing these beautiful tecate tiles from . Features custom made border tiles around the fireplace. They had moisture issues and opted for schluter ditra with kerdi band as a protectant from moisture.

“Friday bucket”: throwing out your thinset bucket at the end of the day instead of cleaning it. It’s been a week using bucket liner, and it’s like every day is Friday lol! Though the material is a little tougher to keep clean throughout the day than your regular bucket material, it’s so nice to just scrape it down and walk away. I had bought the Rubi rubber bucket, and I couldn’t stand the metal handle that rests on top and wound up just tossing it. So glad I gave the beast mixer a try, it rules👊 @ Ojai, California

When a client decides they want a shelf in the niche 10 minutes before you’re about to tile it. A little 2” kerdi board/GoBoard sandwich works well!! @ Ojai, California

Homeowner had 80% of this tile sitting in their yard for 15+ years. We had to match that patina to new tiles to finish. I think it came out great! Happy Friday!!

First time using GoBoard on a radius. Not the easiest as it snaps so clean, but pulled it off. Wet shimmed with Laticrete Tri-Lite thinset. Love this stuff! @ Montecito, California

Reppin gear on this awesome Friday! Had some super cool leftover mosaic from the niche so I set it on some hydroban membrane and dropped it in the tileable Kerdi drain. You think it works??? @ Montecito, California

Little GoBoard trick-if the designer decides they want to move the plumbing after you’ve prepped, just cut a square out to the nearest stud. Shave 1/8” off each side of cut piece. Seal it back up with GoBoard sealant when plumber is done. Takes 5 minutes and is SOLID💪 @ Montecito, California
