UC Santa Barbara Writing Program, home of a thriving community of writers, both faculty and students emphasis in Writing Studies.
The UCSB Writing Program offers undergraduate general education courses at the lower and upper division levels; a professional writing minor; graduate courses focusing on writing and writing pedagogy; and a Ph.D. Running through Writing Program courses at all levels is a simultaneous focus on the study of and practice with writing for diverse audiences and purposes within specific contexts.

Cathy will share her Sundance-winning short film We Were the Scenery and her new poetry collection Becoming Ghost, which center her parents’ experiences as refugees after the Vietnam War.
