When most people think of Rio de Janeiro, theyāve already got the picture dialed ā beaches, mountains, chaos, beauty. But just offshore⦠itās a different world.
Louro Nabuko and his buddy found it the way a lot of good stories start ā a random floating tree trunk, drifting in the blue. No reason for it to be there⦠but every reason to stop. Underneath it, two absolute beasts ā mahi just ghosting in the shade, cruising like they owned it. They did it right first. Worked the log. Cast lures. Tried to trigger a reaction. Nothing. Plan B ⦠forget the bait metal shafts for bait. ā quiet, direct ā šÆ predator mode.
Two fish.
55 lb and 44 lb of pure, open-ocean muscle.
