Surfing a mysto spot called Dredgers, off the Red Lion Inn, East Beach, Santa Barbara during a S-SE swell created by Hurricane Henry as he marches up from Mexico several hundred miles offshore... I missed the morning session that was firing a bit more, but not as clean. I think that on the lower tide the waves were a little more hollow and juicy...
Fun session and great to see several bodysurfers charging as well! I had my fins in my car but opted to just shoot from shore.
So much fun to see mysto spots firing... This spot is an "artificial" sandbar created by the tailings of the dredge that keeps the Santa Barbara Harbor mouth clear during the winter. The sand is pumped along the shoreline and under the pier in large 36 inch pipes and is dumped on the beach here where it has created this shoal where the waves break.

I was walking the bike path when a woman saw me shooting with my camera. She told me to follow her to see this hawk sitting on the edge of the cliff...
Thank you DeeDee. You opened my eyes to a new spot and shot... I will be back!

Ventured out to Lake Cachuma at sunset yesterday and was able to get some shots of some amazing sights, the and some Persid Meteors!!!
Typically you get a tiny line or the meteor is part way out of the frame...
Some days you get lucky! I have always enjoyed getting lucky! The more I try, the luckier I get!
