Welcome to the team, Coach Tyler!! 🥳
Born and raised in rural Vermont, Tyler was always active in sports such as basketball and cross-country. He studied Education at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. Fast-forward a few years after college-life wasn’t going in the direction he wanted. Unfortunately, Tyler was not satisfied with his outlook on life. Therefore Tyler took the necessary steps to feel better about himself, which led him to set his pride aside and ask for help to become a healthier and happier individual. He joined a Bootcamp fitness class at a local gym and quickly realized he loved it and wanted to perform better than the previous day. Attending the fitness class made him find the inspiration that led him to set goals. With time Tyler went from 305 pounds and was unhappy to 235 pounds with a new passion for the fitness industry. Tyler found an outlet that worked for him, but most importantly, one can be used to help others that felt the same way he once did.

Tyler is now NSCA-CPT Certified, a Spartan SGX coach, and continues to pursue healthy lifestyle training for all types of races and thru-hikes. He wanted to lead by example, inspire & be inspired, and remind you to “Be Awesome!”


We’re going to be playing spike ball and Kan-Jan! Come out for a fun time, everyone is welcomed, bring a buddy!!🤝😆

She is from Laguna Hills, California, moved to Santa Barbara for college, and now lives in Sacramento. She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Westmont College and attended seminary for a few years. She started her fitness journey in college and soon after ran the LA Marathon to provide clean drinking water to those in need. She loves hiking, riding bikes with her husband, and paddle boarding. She is passionate about holistic approaches to wellness. We’re excited to have her on the team 🥳

The Prevail Team has grown by one more determined individual🦾Please give a warm welcome to Marla! Marla was born and raised in sunny Santa Barbara and, whether on the basketball court, soccer field, or on the coastal running trails, she's always loved challenging herself. Throughout her time in high school at Laguna Blanca, she excelled in cross country, qualifying for the Mt. SAC Southern Section State Championships and other notable state-wide races over the four years. Her passion for running inspired her to become a Santa Barbara City College Vaquero as a Track and Field team member, thriving in both long and short distance events. In 2016 she left California and landed in the tropics of O’ahu as a transfer student to the University of Hawai’i, Mānoa, to major in Kinesiology and Rehab Science. Over the past 9 years she has enjoyed training clients to help them improve their overall quality of life by prioritizing their health and fitness goals. She received her NASM certification in 2018, and is currently finishing up her CSCS certification. She’s now back in Santa Barbara to spread her passion for health and fitness to the community that raised her.
