We are sorry to learn of the death of scholar Gary Y. Okihiro. A pioneer in the fields of ethnic studies and Asian American studies, he is the author of "Third World Studies," among many other books.

Diane, Lisa, Chris, and Donna want to say thank you for supporting while it was in our care. During our time with the journal, we expanded our call to include special forums on activist scholarship and critical pedagogies, changed the cover, and got to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Equally exciting, we were able to help the journal grow in to the top 5% of all journals on ProjectMUSE! Of course, this would not be possible without the amazing writings of 131 authors and countless reviewers across our nine issues, including the labor from 14 special issue guest editors. Before we go, we welcome the new editorial team, which features Rick Bonus (University of Washington) back as EIC, Lili M. Kim (Hampshire College) and Caroline Yang (UMass-Amherst) as co-reviews editors, and Edward Nadurata (UCI) as the assistant editor. As always, thank you for your support for the Journal of Asian American Studies and for our team. We couldn’t do it without you!
