🔥What are cover up and correction brows???

Cover up and correction brows are (typically) an ombré technique covering up old microbladed/tattooed work while also neutralizing the old work underneath.

A common question I get for cover up and correction brows is “why is it more expensive than a typically set of ombré brows?”

Well let’s break it down:
•more pigment use!
-we typically use 1-2 pigment(s) for a typical set of ombré brows whereas a cover up set would need 3-4. Why? 1-2 pigments to neutralize your old tattooed/microbladed work, and then 1-2 pigments for your base color.
•neutralizing the old tattooed IS necessary!
-neutralizing is needed to correct your color to brown. If your brows healed and faded to a red/green/grey/blue/etc, we must go over it with its neutralizing color to turn it to brown before going over with the base color. If we do not neutralize, your previous work will still be visible underneath the base color we used.
•Our time:
-as an artist, and I may speak for many others when i say that our time is valuable and correction/cover up brows is something that takes more time than a normal set and CANNOT be rushed! Shaping the brows to a symmetrical state while cover up your old work is more challenging than starting from a clean slate and takes time and patience.

And yes, even if you got your brows done 5, 10, 20, 25 years ago, and they’re still visible til this day, they need to be corrected!

We do not charge more to punish you. I want nothing but the best for my clients and their face. And making sure we blend your current work while neutralizing and camouflaging your old work IS me giving you the best results possible.

I always tell my new clients time and time again “Your brows will always heal lighter” and it’s true. Depending on the style you are going for, your brows can fade from 20-40%. This is why ombre or nano brows is a two-part process. Your first session is to establish a base and shape while your touch up session is to determine your desired saturation, and make any changes is wanted/needed.
