Guilt focuses on what we did. Shame focuses on who we believe we are.

While guilt can motivate repair and change, shame often keeps us stuck in hiding, self-criticism, and disconnection.

Healing involves taking responsibility without letting our mistakes define us. It also involves being understood, because shame struggles to take root in the presence of empathy and connection. đź’š

What Is Shame? And Why It Makes Us Want to Hide — Soul Restoration Project 05/15/2026

Shame has a way of showing up in the most ordinary moments—often more powerfully than we expect.

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about supporting you.

It’s a collaborative, intentional space to feel, reflect, and understand your patterns. It may not always be quick, linear, or comfortable, but it’s meaningful.

Not about eliminating discomfort — about building your capacity to move through it🌱
