Our studio is a unique and intimate slab shopping experience focused on the beauty of natural stone.

The best slab selections don’t happen in isolation. They happen when every element of a home is considered together — the architecture, the cabinetry, the flooring, the light, the palette, the feeling.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For Denise Rockstroh of Dwelle Design Studio, natural stone becomes part of a larger design language. A coastal home may call for something softer and more organic, while a more contemporary space may lean toward bold movement or contrast.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s the beauty of natural stone: the right slab doesn’t just fit the space — it strengthens the entire story behind it. ✨

First, you start with the statement. Then you design the room around it.

The slabs in our showroom were not designed. They were not styled. No mood board could have predicted them. They were formed by pressure where there should have been silence, by color where there was no eye to see it, by water and heat and time moving at a pace none of us will live long enough to witness.

Our work is not to make these stones beautiful. They already were, long before they were named. Our work is to recognize the ones that are ready, and to bring them indoors.

This is Mother Nature’s art gallery. We just turn on the lights.

Reading a slab is a skill. Most people haven’t been taught it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Grade, veining balance, book-match potential, surface finish — every one of these affects how the final installation looks and performs. And none of them are visible in a product photo.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is what we talk about with every trade professional who walks through our door.

Most slab yards weren’t designed for the experience of buying stone. They were designed for volume.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Slab Studio was built as the opposite — an indoor, climate-controlled boutique showroom in Santa Ana where trade professionals can see, feel, and select premium natural stone the way it deserves to be seen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every purchase goes through a trade pro. Your margin is protected. Your client gets the material they love. That’s the model — and we don’t deviate from it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Marble, quartzite, limestone, onyx, semi-precious and more — sourced from Italy, Brazil, and Portugal. Book-matched. Always the top quality.

Travertine is having its moment again, and this time, it’s earning it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The warmth and texture sell the look. What designers actually specify it for is more technical: it cuts two ways, runs from interior to pool deck without changing spec, and gains character with age.

Some materials are made. Stone is remembered.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every slab in our showroom is the result of a slow conversation, between heat, water, pressure, and time. We don’t manufacture what we sell. We curate what the earth has already written.

Every slab has a character. Some are quiet protagonists. Some walk into a room and end the conversation. Some are the friend who tells you the truth about your kitchen.

Green keeps finding its way back into design — not as a trend, but as a feeling.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Soft sage, deep olive, mineral tones pulled straight from nature… green brings warmth, depth, and a sense of calm that never feels overdone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In stone, it becomes even more powerful, organic movement, layered texture, and tones that shift beautifully with light throughout the day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A color designers never really left behind.

Would you design a kitchen around green stone?
