Chispa
Chispa is a brave organizing political home for young Latinxs in Orange County. Chispa was created as a response to the results of the 2016 election results.
Despite the growth of the Latinx population, the country elected a President who built his campaign on attacks against communities of color, and who quickly moved to implement racist policies that seek to criminalize and police people of color. Locally, Orange County remains as conservative as ever, and Latinxs remain marginalized due to a lack of political clout. Even in Santa Ana, which maintain

Shame on David Penaloza. He voted to approve the Flock Surveillance contract in our city. Now, the data collected can be sold and shared to 3rd parties like ICE and DHS without us knowing about it.
Across the country, cities are terminating Flock contracts due to privacy violations, lack of transparency, data-sharing concerns, cybersecurity failures, and misuse connected to immigration enforcement.
Councilmember Jessie Lopez warned David about this. He didn’t care. He voted to surveil his constituents. Now he wants your vote. Shame on him.
Vote Jessie Lopez before June 2nd for CA State Assembly District 68. She has proven to be, time and time again, the real champion for immigrant families in Santa Ana and Orange County.
