As you might have learned in our previous posts, the number 6100 is actually the zipcode of the city where I was born and raised! It is a small city in the central part of the Philippines! 🇵🇭
One of the coolest things about it is that it has a very strong art community and one of the most talented artists to come out of our city just happened to be my college roommate and one of my really good friends.
So I had the idea of incorporating his art to our merchandise and possibly shuffle through different artists from home in the future!

Sourdough Japanese Milk Bread Loaf
what makes japanese milk bread special is the addition of a roux-like paste called "tangzhong". It is a combination of milk and flour cooked until the starches in the flour are activated. The tangzhong then is mixed with the dough and is responsible for giving the loaf a nice moist crumb that is super tender and springy. It makes the best french toast, PBJ, or grilled cheese you've ever had!! 🤤🤤🤤
