Sweet Coco is taking her compounded medication like a champ!

Many of you remember Sweet Coco, a 2 lb little netherland dwarf senior girl we took in a few weeks ago from a local shelter where she was given a due out date because she was sick and the shelter doesn't have resources to care for sick bunnies. She had never been to a vet before and has been living with a painful condition where her eyelashes drag against her eyeball everytime she blinks. Since she's over 3 years old, she's also at extremely high risk for uterine cancer. She has an appointment Sunday to fix everything, BUT....we HAVE to raise the funds by this weekend or bump her appointment back. She needs her spay (praying she doesn't have cancer), entropian surgery on her right eye and a molar trim. We need to raise at least $1300 (more if she has to have her uterus sent out for pathology and also if she has to have 2 separate procedures. Our vet will go in order of priority but doesn't want to put her in the danger zone for ileus). She was sad at first and withdrawn, but she is so much happier now and loves her compounded meds, so she's doing her part to feel better. We also need hay donations or money so we can purchase hay for our rescue and a local shelter we provide bunny supplies for. Please help us out True Hearts fam! Any amount helps! As some of you may already know, we set up a donation jar in our front lobby to collect donations for a local animal rescue. The current organization we’ve chosen to support is True Hearts for Healing Paws Rescue. Between our customers and employees, we raised $250, which was then matched by Meds for Vets. We were able to give True Hearts for Healing Paws Rescue a check for $500 on Friday, November 10th, 2023.

True Hearts for Healing Paws Rescue is a wonderful organization working hard to save Utah’s at-risk, abandoned, neglected, and special needs bunnies. A year and a half ago, two rabbits were abandoned in our parking lot. True Hearts for Healing Paws helped us catch and home these adorable bunnies. A lot goes into any rescue, and we truly appreciate all their hard work and dedication. We are especially grateful to True Hearts for Heling Paws for saving bunnies of all kinds.
