Giving Our Best for Others
"Always do your best". I would suspect most, if not all, of us have either heard or been told this in our life. I also suspect that in most of these moments, it was directed to something we were doing -- some task, job or responsibility. While certainly reasonable in that environment, I would like to suggest another, equally important environment of its application....

Discouragement is a plague that only exists when aloneness dominates. Life-giving presence is more than you just being there - it flows from a heart that values the life and qualities of others. Everyday we have the chance to help eradicate aloneness through purposeful and meaningful encouragment. "See" others and then act with giving this gift. We know ourselves how powerful receiving encouragement can be. Share it generously.

The "quiet goodness" that is around and in each of us exists as THE greater impactor of lives and circumstances. May we look for and choose it more and more every day, valuing it as the core substance of the world around us. As we do, that which is more real can elevate and become the greater vision of hope for all of us.

How true is this for you... "We generally underplay the positive changes we can make with affirming the strengths of others, while overplaying the perspective that 'things will never change'." MGF I say it this way as it seems easy for most to expect more negative than positive both at work and in our personal lives. Certainly, the negative dominates social media and news outlets....

That which endures in our life, especially with regularity, tends to imprint its message upon our hearts. And that goes the gamut from the positive and life-giving to the negative and death-bringing. What do we share with others consistently? Each day, that choice is squarely in our hands to walk out. What will you choose for the sake of those around you? I hope you will show up daily with courage and hope in abundance to give. It is a river available that never runs dry.

No matter who you are, someone is influenced by your leadership. To be purposeful over what they receive takes intentional decisions about the kind of leader you want to be. Relational leaders want to major on people while accomplishing much together. This training provides a key overview of 8 key qualities of leading relationally. DM me for details and invest in yourself for leading well.

Too often, we associate presence with proximity. Think of a crowded space where no one knows you are there. In contrast, think of that person in your life who reaches out without prompting to connect with you, especially from miles away. That's real, tangible presence. Add to that a persevering attitude that says, "I'm here no matter what!", and you have "presence" at its best. Relational leaders consider this a priority quality for themselves and especially in their leading efforts.
What about you? Is that a quality you are working on for yourself? Do you wonder where to start? I would be honored to help. Reach out with your interest.

All of us, without exception, experience personal changes in our journey. These shifts in seasons can pose challenges for any leader, especially within their teams. However, for relational leaders that value connection first, cultivating a leading lifestyle of reflective pausing gives them the chance to adapt and find ways to stay connected and building their relationships with those they lead. Not sure how to work on that skill (and it is one that can be learned), let me help. DM me to set up a visit. I would love to help.
