We're going to be opening a pretty big present in Sandy this December... 🎁 The construction on the new Recreation Center is so far ahead of schedule that we are excited to announce that we will be opening in December instead of early 2027 as originally planned. So please join us for a grand opening on Monday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m.
Stay tuned to our page over the coming months as we share a few final construction progress updates, information on memberships, and sneak peeks at the completed facility before it opens!

We recently had the chance to take Sandy Mayor Monica Zoltanski and other Sandy City staff members on a tour of our new recreation center. They were very impressed to see all the progress that has been made since their last tour, which is of course thanks to the hard work of Layton Construction and their subcontractors who are doing an amazing job! We're getting closer and closer to opening this place to the community and we couldn't be more excited!

Photos from this week's construction tour with Layton Construction. This week we were joined by Sandy City IT staff to go over the electrical plans. Aside from that, walls are getting painted, corners are being sanded, and windows are getting installed. Getting one step closer every day! 😁

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been one year since we closed our doors for construction. Our Splash Bash farewell party was one year ago today, and our final day of operations was a year from Saturday. Hopefully the next few months will fly by as quickly as the past year has, because we can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the whole community to the new Sandy Recreation Center.
