First painting I’ve finished in quite a while. I started it more than a month ago and worked on it bit by bit. Thoroughly missing this place in Coyote Gulch. I had the privilege of sleeping on this beach for a night during my trip to this amazing place back in 2021.
My fun project from last week. Our AMYS Team Dad™ converted this steel drum into a much noisier drum for fun at tournaments. It made its debut on Saturday at the Utah State Taekwondo Championship.
I have mad respect for artists who can wield a can of spray paint like a paintbrush. I am not one of those artists. I relied heavily on handmade stencils, masking, tape, Posca markers, and a paintbrush. Many thanks to my husband for doing the prep and my friend Amy for the vinyl decals that finished it.
It also helps that our studio won the honor of being top school in Utah for the 14th year. I won gold in black belt poomsae and my son one gold in junior black belt sparring after a four-year break from TKD. All in all, it was an awesome day.

Created a new logo for Lone Pine Elementary school in Medford, OR. They wanted a wildcat that wasn't too juvenile, but also not scary. One that made kindergarteners through 5th graders happy. My youngest suggested making a version with sunglasses and it was a hit! We also created a t-shirt design that all teachers wore for back-to-school night last week. They had stickers made too. Lastly, I took the artwork and made a separate logo for the school's PTO. Love how it all turned out!
