What a flutter-tastic day in kindergarten! Mrs. Stout brought the buzz of STEM back to Ms. Wallin's kindergarten class and they dove into the magical world of butterflies. They learned all about the butterfly life cycle through a super fun Nearpod activity that had everyone buzzing with excitement. 🦋
But wait, it gets better! They crafted our very own magnetic butterflies that danced around the room, thanks to some clever paper clips and magnetic wands. What a wonderful way to mix learning with a sprinkle of creativity!

Classroom spotlight! Dr. Andersen’s middle school Tech and Society elective learned about the development of prosthetics in modern medicine! Steve spoke about his personal experience as an amputee, highlighting the importance of innovation to each of us. 🐝

Beehive Academy's Makerspace! Step inside the innovation station, funded by a grant from the STEM Action Center with the purpose of bringing and teaching new computing technology to students! Students as young as Kindergarten thrive in a blend of science and creativity, led by Ms. Stout, Mrs. Bentley, and Mr. Bryant! ⭐

Classroom spotlight! 📖 Mr. Harlow's 8th Grade US History class uses visual learning techniques to learn about early American history! Beehive Academy supports engaging education every day!

Educator Spotlight! 📚 Beehive teachers Kerrie Upenieks and John O'Connor recently completed an advanced education course and are officially certified in Instructional Education in STEM/STEAM! We are proud to promote lifelong learning and excellency in educators as well as our students!

Alice Stan’s 6th-8th grade elective class is joining the 2026 Hunt for the Hologram Particle! ⭐ Beehive Academy has partnered with Loose in the Lab to tackle something that has never been done before: creating the world’s first commercially viable hologram projector. We join an army of “citizen scientists” in testing over 1500 substances across Utah schools! Dr. Daniel Smalley (BYU, MIT) led Alice Stan’s class in particle research on Wednesday, April 29th. Wish these students luck on their research!
