Recorded in March. Beetdigger Choirs have loved performing “Lamentations of Jeremiah” this year. Written by modern choral composer Z. Randall Stroope, it features an ominous Latin text taken from the Old Testament. It portrays a deep “lamenting” at the destruction of a city and the people within it. It’s one of the pieces they took with them to various festivals and competitions this Spring. We are proud of our choir program for taking sweepstakes at the heritage festival competition in San Diego as well as three of our top groups receiving straight superiors at state UHSAA festivals. Go Beetdigger Choirs!
