CHANGE IS GOOD!
The best way to determine what works is to TRY IT OUT. You heard me, it doesn't have to be perfect from the start JUST START!
I say this to the person who
1- is waiting until they know for sure the way they are thinking of setting up a process will work for them
and/or
2- started one way and isn't sure how to make a shift
Two years ago I implemented CEO Day for Monday of each week and for two years it's pretty much worked. THEN our service offering at changed a bit and thus our availability also changed. Instead of offering primarily administrative services we now provide mostly Fractional COO services.
This means we're needed on Mondays - the start of the work week - more than we are needed on Fridays - the start of event weekend.
By providing Fractional COO services, we are there to support your team daily with the nuances of the workload. This service offering alleviates you from having to deal with the minutiae when you can be closing contracts instead.
Trust me, YOU ARE the boss so you make the rules. What changes are you going to make today?!

See any familiar faces??
If you've attended an event where was hired to manage onsite, you have likely met my daughters. Let me formally introduce you to them...
Amani - 11th grader that gives a run for my money, while she spends ALL of my money :)
Shaniya - YES you've read that right, my 23-year-old daughter is a pilot
My daughters are generally my first hires for onsite events because they know my standard and have seen and heard the backend of planning the events. You would be surprised how easily my 16-year-old can read a ROS and be ready to execute. She doesn't like meetings and since I record my final planning calls to share with volunteers and staff, she watches at her leisure and is ready to GO once she gets onsite. Shaniya is me and that is precisely why she was "me" on my wedding day. I needed someone to look with my eyes to see that my wishes were met - mostly that we stayed on time.
There you have it, more "behind the scenes" of who Shakila is!
