𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆

When SMDC purchased this property in 2022, it was showing its age. New windows, a fresh coat of paint, and lots of new landscaping helped give it a fresh look and feel from the outside. Inside, we've made numerous updates as well, including converting an efficiency apartment to a shared laundry area. Today, it's home to three families, and we're glad to be able to provide a comfortable place for them to call home.

🌳 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙖𝙮 🌳

One of the ways SMDC honors the environment is by planting trees throughout our properties. This tulip tree, located in SMDC's little park, was planted by Mike in 2025 and named after his wife, Allison.

Mike and Allison have a tradition of naming the trees they plant after people and moments that matter to them and then making them pose for a photo with said tree 😂

On World Environment Day, we're grateful that trees make our neighborhoods healthier, greener, and more welcoming places to call home.

Our China Roses (Rosa chinensis) that were planted in 2012 are putting on a spectacular show right now at our downtown 709 West Washington Street property (which is home to Marina Medical). Take a stroll or drive by and enjoy all 18 plants looking their absolute prettiest of the year!

San Marino Development Co.'s story began at 709 West Washington Street, Sandusky.

Purchased in 2013, this was the very first property that planted our roots as a property management company. Today, it’s home to Marina Medical, Marina at home, and Nexxt Level Gym...businesses that continue to serve and strengthen our community every day.

Roots matter to us because strong communities are built over time. Seeing this property continue to grow alongside our community is something we’re incredibly proud of.

If you’re driving by, take a look at the building’s new lighted face, a fresh new look that reflects both where we started and where we’re headed.

There’s something special about relaxing on the front porch at the end of the day. A wave to a neighbor, kids riding bikes down the street, conversations that turn strangers into friends, these are the moments that build real community.
