This week's article is AWESOME for newcomers to tabletop roleplaying and storytelling games. Actually even if you've been playing RPGs but were nervous about stepping "behind the screen" to run one yourself, we're passing along some tried-and-true wisdom to you. Link as always in in the replies.

A few notes!

1. Deck Builder & Card Pulling System. Many of you saw our special inventory system that lets you hold cards on a list aside for pickup in the store. We encourage everyone to check it out and start using that instead of sending messages through Facebook. We love hearing from you, but in this instance you can see what we have and build out from there as well as know your order has been sent to staff behind the counter to work on. Link will be in replies.

2. One Event Canceled, One Moved. WotC itself has canceled the Marvel Super Heroes Store Championship which was to be held on July 18. So please note that we cannot run that. On that day instead, our Riftbound Summoner Skirmish is taking place.

3. Newsletter. The weekly newsletter is out! In addition to ramping up other parts of our online presence, our newsletter is live and offers a summary glimpse of upcoming hobby and game interests. Sometime soon it will also have some bonus content which could be an extra story to read or even a little promotion or coupon to subscribers. It's free. Link below!

4. Event Cross-Sharing. Now that our website has been further refined, it will always be THE place to go for the most up-to-date info on events we're running. However, I will still schedule them here as well as other places like X and our Discord as time allows.

We've all been there before. It's a collector's "rite of passage" to have a story about a flood, losing cards, or reflecting back on when you were a kid and scaping up your Pokémon cards on the sidewalk. This week's article ruminates about our shared experiences and offers parents a cautionary consideration.

As a reminder, while we are open a bit early for the parade, 250 is closing shortly. Then after the traffic rush when the parade ends, you'll have until 4 to get your game on as we're closing early to let everyone remember, reflect, or enjoy the holiday in their own ways. 🇺🇸

Speaking of markers, Holman Arts was on-scene and now I have a MUCH better picture of him to use for future events. 🤣

In addition to his own art, you may remember that he was the one who drew our custom variant cover of TMNT x Godzilla #1! Woah! His skills were on full display and only over the course of a few minutes he went from some basic lines on a blank page to having a very happy customer.

What an awesome day at the store. Thanks to all who came as guest and friend alike. Hopefully you found some titles that were really awesome and maybe even is getting a new reader involved in the ongoing tales of our beloved modern myths.

I caught Zane M. Fannin drawing and took a moment to chat and look over his art that he brought to present. He is a busy guy in all the right ways and like I did with Doug, I'll link you over to his current project as Issue #2 is in the works. Part of why this event is so amazing is to see all the different styles of art on display. Not just with the free comics but especially those of our guests and even perhaps your own, dear reader!
