We wanted to celebrate our incredible Office Manager (for all three Language Essentials locations), Flo! The 14th was her 5 year anniversary with LE! Flo keeps so much of what we do moving forward—coordinating and supporting our admin team, therapists, marketing, clients, and families, while always stepping in wherever she’s needed. She inspires us, keeps us going, and helps make Language Essentials the special place it is!

Continuing our look at Sensory Integration with our OT Intern, Dani! 💜

In her latest presentation, Dani breaks down the different senses involved in sensory processing and explores where that sensory information comes from — and how our brains use it to help us understand and respond to the world around us.

From the familiar five senses to the lesser-known sensory systems, there’s more to sensory processing than meets the eye!

As Dani nears the completion of her final steps toward becoming an occupational therapist, she’s preparing an important presentation on **Sensory Integration**—a topic frequently discussed in pediatric occupational therapy and, in many cases, alongside speech therapy.

So, what exactly is Sensory Integration, and how does it relate to the children we serve?

In this presentation, Dani breaks down some key sensory processing terms and walks us through the **stages of Sensory Integration**, helping us better understand how the brain receives, organizes, and responds to sensory information.
