When do teacher moms ever get a break? When I clock out of my teaching job, I still have so many mom duties.

What I didn't include were before school duties - waking my child up, making breakfast, packing lunch/snack, driving to school... and more after school duties - extracurricular activities, grocery shopping, typing emails, lesson planning, etc... if you're a tired teacher mom, I'm right there with you! Hugs! ❤️

First graders can be very affectionate sometimes 🥰 but it may not always be welcomed, so that means it was time for a personal space lesson! To begin, we read the book Personal Space Invader 📚 and we talked about different ways to show our friends that we love them. To wrap up the lesson, we chose 1-2 ways to write and draw about, and turned it into a class book to keep in our classroom library. Hopefully this will help remind them throughout the year! How do you teach about personal space?

We received a package today so I had H lie down on the packaging paper for me to draw his outline. He really enjoyed adding details to it and was focused for more than 30 minutes! I call this a win! 😃

Back-to-School Night ✅

It was the first day of school and I forgot to switch out our calendar. 🤦🏻‍♀️ As you can see, we didn't even touch it the last two days of school last year 😅
