The Child Day Schools- San Ramon

The TK class is current exploring the Web Topic “What Can We Learn About Insects” Today they enjoyed a butterfly party where they explored the meaning of pollination. The children learned how butterflies drink nectar with their proboscis and how they end up pollinating other flowers! We used mac and cheese powder and jello mix to simulate the pollen. The kids loved to watch their butterflies feet covered in the different colors after they went and visited all their friends flowers and of course a juice box is always a special treat.

Today’s playground surprise: a tiny Pacific Tree Frog 🐸💚
The kids gathered around, wide-eyed and full of questions—where does it live? what does it eat? Moments like this turn into the best kind of learning—curiosity, excitement, and a little bit of wonder about the world right outside our door.
We gently admired our little visitor and let it hop safely on its way. 🌿

It’s raining, it’s pouring, being stuck inside doesn’t have to be boring 🤣 🤣
Since we couldn’t get outside today the teachers hosted different activity rooms for the children to visit. Room 7 had a dance party, room 8 had arts and crafts and room 9 was set up for gym with activities including the mini trampoline, balance beam, leap pads and more! So many smiles.
