One of the most important aspects of what we teach our students is the importance of communication, and how to improve our skills so we can have quality dialogue with others.
This past week, our Teen Campers got to work one on one having conversations with their classmates while taking turns holding a low position in a push-up. Keep up the good work, Campers!

Week one of our Teen Camp just wrapped up. For this group of students, having a positive, welcoming place where they get to improve themselves and work together as a team is truly a highlight of their summer. Plus, they get to have a lot of fun doing it.

The US International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament wrapped up this weekend, and we are incredibly proud of the entire East West Team. Congratulations to Grandmaster Buckley on earning his 10th Tuan through the TWKSF and to East West Kung Fu for winning the Wang, Chueh Jen Cup, 1st Place in Adult Forms, 2nd Place in Youth Forms, and 1st Place in Lei Tai.
We would also like to thank Grandmaster Huang, Master Huang, and the USKSF for hosting another phenomenal tournament. Our school has competed at this prestigious tournament for 35 years, and we are incredibly honored to represent our founder, Senior Grandmaster Lee, and the Bok Fu Do system at this event year after year.

As our team prepares for competition today, some of our team has already been hard at work assisting with the set up of the lei tai for the competition. A tradition our team has upheld year after year, always sharing a helpful spirit wherever in the world we go!

Our team will be competing this year, celebrating our 35th year at the National Championships. Along with our new team shirts, a lot of our team will be wearing our team silks. Here is one of our students practicing in her uniform getting ready for competition.
Some of our Alamo and Lafayette Kids Special Squad members spent their last class getting ready for the USKSF National Championship Tournament. They will get the opportunity to represent the Bok Fu Do system at our 35th year of competition

Our San Ramon Students hard at work focusing on stance strength in their class.
Building solid stances is an important aspect to martial arts. At East West, we make sure the students learn the importance of a quality stance, and have fun doing it!
Our Alamo and San Ramon Teens are preparing for a very exciting weekend as we head into the National Championships next week. Here’s a few highlights of some of our students encouraging one another in their performances.
