The 4th Light Horse Commemorative Regiment is a living history organization that honors and preserves the memory of the Australian Light Horse Regiments of the First World War. But their greatest contribution was their horse-mounted campaign in the Middle East. The Light Horse regiments were the key element in the British Campaign against the Ottoman Turks, eventually driving the Turkish forces entirely out of Egypt, Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon.
