A good friend of mine who teaches math and science at a local middle school asked if I could make a plushie flask for her classroom. Done!

After frogging last years attempt I finally remade Grinchie (aka MrMisunderstood by Kayte-Did's Crafts). Should I do a cute or scary face? I’m using felt eyes and mouth.

After a few friends sent me the crochet Christmas ball ornament from Simply Made By Erin I decided to give it a go. I used the 2.5” glass ball with a single strand and 3” glass ball with a double strand of Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Sparkle. I love the way these turned out and want to make more with different yarns.

When my daughter asked me to make a blanket yarn stress ball I had no idea that they would be so popular with the girls and their friends. Everyday they’d ask for this color for this friend or that friend. I’ve since given them to parents at coffees, PTA meetings and just anyone nearby when I had them. I think the girls and I have given away close to 50 so far. They are so fun to make and relaxing as a fidget. Crochet is a great stress reliever.

My crojo is strong this month! Im starting this blanket but in different colors. I have a lot of blanket yarn and cant think of a better way to use it. With cooler temps around the corner Im ready for some blankets.

I finished an old WIP blanket and I’m realizing my tension was really inconsistent. I mean functionally the blanket works great but visually I know it’s not right. I’m going to try blocking it but wondering if I should fix it. OR chalk it up to a learning moment and move on the next. Tension is a struggle for me since I typically crochet pretty tight so have to go up a size with the hook or try to crochet looser. The rule follows me in me tries to go looser determined to match the gauge. Oh the dilemma! What to do. What. To. Do.

How pretty is this yarn? I made a dragon scale fingerless glove (the other is on the hook) and love it!

It’s Stash Busting September! I started the month picking up an old WIP throw blanket that had been sitting for a couple years 😬 I realized that I’d done the first four skeins of rows wrong. Wrong stitch, wrong stitch count 🤦🏻‍♀️ so started it over. Three days later I had a blanket and I love it. Still needs blocking but functionally it works and it’s just for us.
