Another vintage from one of Leo's post-Fender companies! The 2005 US-made G&L S-500 is a highly versatile evolution of the traditional S-style design. Handcrafted in Fullerton, California, it features Leo Fender-designed Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups, G&L's Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, and an expanded 7-way pickup switching system. The S-500 offers players a more aggressive, modernized take on the classic 3-single-coil guitar. Thanks to the MFD pickups and the PTB tone system, the S-500 can go from articulate, sparkling country/blues tones to fat, humbucker-like sonic thickness without requiring amp adjustments. The expander switch, which unlocks all seven pickup combinations, makes it one of the most sonically flexible S-style guitars available.
