In these uncertain times, finding clarity in the body and moving what needs to be moved.

Next embodied exploration workshop: Sat. Feb. 7th

Theme: Boundaries That Move

Teacher: Nina Horne

Most of us learned how to say yes long before we learned how to listen to ourselves. Boundaries That Move is a space to slow down and notice what’s actually true in the body—when a yes feels real, when a no is needed, and when maybe is the most honest response we have.

We’ll move with yes, no, and maybe as physical experiences: the ease of alignment, the clarity of refusal, the wisdom of waiting. Boundaries becoming responsive and alive—something you can feel, adjust, and trust.

This workshop is for movers who want more choice, more honesty, and more room to be themselves in relationship—with others and with their own lives.

Join us Dec. 6th for Rachel's Luminous Darkness Winter Solstice Ritual.

From Rachel: "“Honored to share this season of luminous darkness with you. I’m shaping a ritual for us to meet the wisdom of this turning time — a space where we can rest in solitude, lean into connection, and allow ourselves to be seen and moved. I hope you’ll join us in the dance.”

Our next gathering: Saturday, December 6th

Guest teacher: Rachel Jordana (Open Floor, 5 Rhythms, 360 Facilitator, & Founder of Embodiment Medicine)

Theme: Luminous Darkness

Rachel will be offering a special Winter Dance Ritual workshop of Luminous Darkness, honoring the turning season and the wisdom it carries, exploring the tender balance between solitude and connection, between self-care and the deep human longing to see and be seen. Through movement, breath, and presence, we will enter the dance as a prayer — an offering to both light and shadow.

November 1st Embodied Exploration: Yes, No, Maybe

A somatic journey into clarity, boundaries, and choice with Nina Horne

Our bodies often know long before our minds do. This workshop invites you to explore yes, no, and maybe as living experiences — sensations that arise in the body, move through relationship, and shape how we meet the world.

Through guided movement, somatic awareness, and mindful inquiry, Nina will guide practice of:

Recognizing the felt sense of a true yes — the expansion, ease, or readiness that signals alignment.

Sensing a clear no — the contraction, pause, or withdrawal that protects integrity and safety.

Exploring the wisdom of maybe — the fertile in-between where curiosity, uncertainty, and emergence live.

Drawing from Open Floor, Polyvagal theory, and mindfulness-based awareness, you’ll learn to track your own internal cues for consent and choice, build trust in your body’s signals, and move from automatic response to embodied clarity.

No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to listen deeply to yourself.

Come prepared to move, rest, and discover how your yes, no, and maybe dance through every decision you make.

Excited to welcome guest teacher Mackenzie Amara for our Saturday October 4th class!

October's theme: Depth Body

Our bodies are both the gateway to freedom and the source of our greatest challenges. In this workshop, we’ll use movement as an instrument of authentic truth — turning suffering into art, joy into contagion, and expression into freedom.

We’re honored to welcome guest teacher Mackenzie Amara, a Jungian analyst-in-training, certified 5Rhythms® teacher, and 360 Emergence Apprentice. Mackenzie leads daylong workshops in Berkeley and bridges therapy with somatic practice, creating spaces that hold both shadow and light with honesty, care, and depth.

Drawing from 5Rhythms, 360 Emergence, developmental movement, ritual theatre, and authentic movement practices, we’ll dance into depth, honesty, and surprise. Every body, in every form, is welcome.

🌀 Expect freedom.
🔥 Expect challenge.
🌿 Expect to surprise yourself.

Welcome guest teacher Mackenzie Amara to our next class, Sat. Oct. 4!

Mackenzie is a Jungian analyst-in-training, certified 5Rhythms® teacher and 360 Emergence Apprentice who leads daylong movement workshops in Berkeley. Her work bridges therapy and somatic practice, guiding clients back to their deeper selves. Through movement, depth inquiry, and compassionate presence, she creates spaces that can hold both the shadow and the light—serious work approached with honesty, care, and a sense of play. Alongside her work in depth psychology and psychedelic integration, she serves as a celebrant and ritual spaceholder—crafting ceremonies that draw on mythology, symbolism, and years of religious study to honor life’s thresholds in a way that feels deeply personal and alive.
