New truck + Northern Lights.

Did you see the Comet tonight? Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, also called C/2023 A3 is only visible on earth every 80,000 years.

I want to get a few of these out on their own merit. Each one is part of an ever changing curtain that was barely visible to the naked eye and exploded to life when caught on camera.

Nothing like a rare aurora borealis sighting to have me posting again. I never thought I’d see the northern lights over Marin county, and the experience was spectacular.

12 hours after the show ended and we still can’t stop talking about it. put on, what might be, the best show we have ever been to. The music. Their band. The venue. The opening band. The audience. It’s not very often that a band will say “I would tell you to start clapping but you all are already doing that”. Michael and Tanya are the most amazing, genuine, caring people and seeing them and sharing the moments with them will not be forgotten. Rising Super Sturgeon Moon over Berkeley and the San Francisco Bay as taken from a little beach we had never been to before. It was such a fun night getting out here, waiting and anticipating where the moonrise was going to be and how to best capture it.

The elephant seals are packing up and heading out. There were something like 900 pups at Drakes Beach. The females took off leaving a few bulls and the pups to hang out. This guy just wanted to be seen in all his glory.
We loved hearing people walk up and see these creatures for the first time. So many people pointing and talking and gasping and disbelief and giggling with friends. Seeing a photo doesn’t really do justice to their size and movement and playfulness and sounds they make.
