Thanks for the memories.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Holiday season.
After much consideration and lengthy discussions with my family I have decided to close Marin Moto Works effective December 18th. I gave myself 5 years to get the shop up and running and after that time I was going to asses where I was with the place and if I wanted to continue.
Although I have had a very successful 5 years of running Marin Moto Works, I feel it is time to move on and pursue other avenues. I have been blessed with some of the best customers one can have in Marin County and I am grateful for all the support I received while in operation.
I would like to thank a few people who's help has been integral to my success. First and foremost I would like to thank my family for the love and support they provided in this venture, especially my wife Leah. I would also like to thank Peter Athanas for the immeasurable help he has provided. I couldn't have asked for a better assistant and friend.
Thanks to my parts suppliers Jason and Amy from MX1West, Ron at KTM Twins, Larry and the parts crew at SF BMW, Paul with Tucker Rocky, Jeff with Western Power Sports, AF1, Scuderia West, Ohlins, the crew at Super Plush Suspension, and Dave from Winzer. Also thanks to my great landlord Rick, and two people with the City of San Rafael Nader Mansourian and Kevin McGowan. I also had help from my friends Tanit, Sergio, and Dusty. Thanks to Andrew for my first website and Garik at G Squared Studios for the current site.
A special note of thanks to Cary Littell for his help in getting the shop up and running as well as providing me with tech help during the first couple of years. RIP Cary, you are missed.
I plan on selling the shop. If there are any interested parties please email me at [email protected]. If I don't find a suitable buyer I will sell off the individual equipment and parts at a date in January yet to be determined. Stayed tuned here for any possible shop equipment and parts sale.

Bike for sale. I have a 2002 R1100S for sale. I bought this a couple of years ago from a customer who didn't want to pay to repair the clutch/gearbox. I replaced the clutch, repaired the gearbox, installed steel braided brake lines and gave it a full service. I thought I would ride it more often, but as beautiful as the bike is, it just sits in my shop. I think it's time to find it a more loving home. Saddlebags included. 14036 miles. Registration is current. Asking $4500.
Heads up! I'm going to be going out of town this Friday and Saturday and the shop will be closed. Normal hours resume on Tuesday at 10am.

This should he fun!
If anyone has been in my shop anytime in the last 4 weeks you will have noticed my voice is pretty hoarse from laryngitis. I finally went to see a doctor just to make sure it wasn't anything serious. It's not, but I was instructed to rest my voice as much as possible. This is a challenge when running the shop, answering phone calls, and talking to customers. Until this clears up I am going to be relying as much as I can on Gmail and text messaging to communicate with customers. My gmail is [email protected] and if you have any questions or service requests I would ask they be sent there. When in the shop I am going to try and keep conversation to a minimum.
The wedding is over and now my Birthday is coming up this weekend. My birthday gift to me is a holiday this Saturday August 15th. I will be back open at normal hours on Monday August 18th.
The big day is approaching fast! Come this Sunday your humble shop owner and mechanic will be a married man to my beautiful and intelligent sweetheart of 15 years.
As a result of this celebration (and the ensuing honeymoon) Marin Moto Works will be closing early on Thursday July 16th and will be closed until normal hours resume Tuesday July 28th.
