CROWDSOURCING TIME!!! Our upcoming production of AS YOU LIKE IT reimagines Arden as a Bay Area q***r bar. The creative team will be including photos and artwork of Bay Area q***r elders and icons on the set to honor and celebrate their legacy.
Drop in the comments names of q***r elders (still with us or passed on) who have inspired you. All submissions made by Saturday, June 13 will be considered. We'd love to expand the circle and include as many amazing humans in our installation as possible! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

Monday June 22, 5 pm: grab a cocktail or a mocktail and log onto a FREE introduction to Marin Shakespeare's As You Like It with Kaleidoscope Dramaturg Philippa Kelly.
What was going on in Shakespeare's life, and in England, in 1588 when he was writing As You Like It? Tucked away from the corrupt court, Shakespeare’s play transforms the Forest of Arden into a whimsical laboratory where banishment becomes liberation and identity is nothing more than a costume to be tried on and tossed aside. In this sun-dappled world, Shakespeare's cleverest heroine, Rosalind—disguised as the handsome youth Ganymede—playfully tutors her own love interest in the very art of winning her heart, blurring the lines between performance and reality. The result is a intoxicating comedy that asks a daring question: if we are free to craft our own selves and societies, what’s to stop us from choosing joy?
