Sometimes I see clients that are looking for meaning in their life’s. Going through the exercise of the ikigai can be great!
What is the Ikigai?
Ikigai, is a Japanese word, which translated literally would mean: “what is worth living for.” It is a practical tool for all people who want to discover the meaning of life, or what makes you wake up with excitement every day.
If this resonates with you, feel free to give me a call!

Eating healthful fats: People should aim to include healthy fats, such as avocados, nuts, coconut oil, and fish, in the diet. At the same time, they should reduce the intake of processed fats, red meats, and fried foods. The liver digests at 107 degree. It is impossible for a liver to break down fats that have been boiled, for example fried foods. Causing unnecessary stress for the liver. A better way is to add oils later, after the food is cooked.

This week I’d like to share a couple nutritional facts around fats and fat digestion.
Effective fat digestion is critical for overall health, as the body needs fat to carry out many of its functions. Effective fat digestion may even play a role in maintaining a moderate body weight. You can improve fat digestion by:
Eating a lower fat diet: A typical high fat Western diet may promote the development of bacteria in the gut that cause a person to absorb more fat, potentially leading to weight gain.

When we are pushed out of our equilibrium we have a system in place to help us. The fight of flight response kicks in when we are afraid or stressed. The brain focuses on the potential of the threat, shutting down unnecessary mental processes, so we can’t reflect on the meaning of life or day dreaming about a vacation. In that moment the heart rate goes up sending blood to the muscles for preparation potentially fleeing of fighting. Adrenalin pumps through the body. That brings us in a state of activation. Cortisol is released to cope with pains, fast acting sugar is released stored in our muscles. The general focus of the response is external. Everybody had this happening to them in some sort of fashion:
this can be triggered by an attack
visit to the dentist
Fender bender
Public speaking
A heated argument
A test
Or surfing a big ass wave!
But more important, we can trigger such a response just by thought alone!
This cycle can be stopped! Just give me a call!
