Things to Know Thursdays - Know Your Watershed: Bolinas Lagoon Watershed
The 18 square mile Bolinas Lagoon watershed extends from the Pine Gulch Creek watershed to the north, downtown Bolinas to the west, a series of gulches to the east, and the Easkoot Creek watershed in Stinson Beach to the south. Pine Gulch Creek drains the largest area near Dogtown and Bolinas, including portions of Point Reyes National Seashore.

Things to Know Thursdays - Car Washing
Never let soapy water run into the gutter. Even natural biodegradable soap can make birds and animals sick and can be deadly to fish and amphibians in our creeks. The better solution is to take your car to the car wash where the dirty, soapy water goes to the wastewater treatment plant but if you do wash your car at home, divert the soapy wash water to a vegetated area where it can soak in and pour the remaining soapy water from the bucket down the sink.
