It’s been a long time, everyone. As we prepared to move last year, my mother was diagnosed with late stage cancer. At the same time, my own physical and mental health spiraled out of control. We moved and I struggled to keep up with more than the daily basics of caring for myself and my children. I had to let everything else go.

At this point, I’m still not sure the directions Dapper Baby Textiles will take. Regulations have changed how I look at weaving wraps. I never had anything approaching even a modest volume of wraps sold, but I loved making them and I loved seeing babies in them even more. I don’t know if this business can ever “afford” to be compliant when part of process was matching each customer to a fiber and weave structure they loved.

The remainder of the TOS Nebula warp, shown in the photo, is still available. This is 100% tencel, hand dyed with a strongly nerdy inspiration. I have nearly 10 meters available for weaving as soon as a weft arrives. Please contact me if you are interested, I do offer discounts for marginalized people 🙂. [basic smiley face]

Finally weaving again!

This fantastic photo just won the March Bracket Inspiration Photo Thing. I'd love to start planning out some wraps based on copper ore! Message me if you feel inspired, I have some fantastic ideas to start with 😊 [beaming smilie]

Who is in love with temperature afghans/blankets? I have been wanting to do a "pregnancy" temperature/weather wrap for a LONG time. The colors don't have to be pastel rainbow, there could be monochrome or a gradient between only a few colors, instead of temperature it could be sunny, clear, cloudy, rain! The colors can be alternated with white or black, the combinations are endless! Let's design a special wrap to commemorate your pregnancy growing your baby! I know it's been a little bit. Had some health problems over the Holidays but I am doing much better and raring to go! I have the heart weave pice of TOS Nebula to finish, a couple of smaller pieces to crank out, and then we'll see what comes next! I can't wait to get going on a new year for Dapper Baby Textiles!!
