My family as a general rule is a bit pig-headed and proud and not big on asking for help when we need it. My younger brother, Jeremy, recently had a series of strokes that left the left side of his body semi-functional. He worked for a railroad in Florida and they recently eliminated his position after he had his stroke, which has left his family in a bind since he is the main source of income for his family of 5.
When he posted this GoFundMe, I knew it was serious. It takes a lot for him to ask for help. If you have the means or interest, give this a look and if you are inspired to help in any way then thank you.

Children in 11 U.S cities competed at local poetry slams, vying for the opportunity to represent their city at the regional level. The top performers from each of the three Regional Slams were to receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. in March to participate in the America SCORES National Poetry Slam Final. Sadly, due to COVID-19, the live final was cancelled. But now you can help select the Viewer’s Choice Award at http://bit.ly/PoetrySlamFinals. For a sneak peak into the journey of each child through these poetry slam series and all the way to the finals, check out Ourwordsourcities! Stay tuned for the documentary release in late 2020 on Amazon Prime.
Our Words Our Cities Our Words Our Cities is a dynamic, engaging, and enlightening feature length documentary following a nationwide youth poetry slam series run by non-profit America SCORES, which brings communities together by showcasing the voices of inner-city children.

Hit the 100K mark on this poem. As my wife is off getting her head shaved, again, I look forward to making a butt with our bald heads for years to come.
Thanks for sharing, Button Poetry!!
Jesse Parent - "The Parts of Her That Matter" (100K views!) “When we had to tell our kids that my wife had cancer, my eldest son held it together, made it into math. My daughter shattered like a slipped and soapy plate, but my youngest, the eight-year-old, went silent as sleep, eyes wide and wet.”
